Training program

“Training is about partnership —building trust step by step, until potential becomes performance."

At Billings Equestrian, training is always about developing the unique partnership between each horse and rider. We blend technical training with a thoughtful, step-by-step plan that meets each pair exactly where they are in their learning. Led by USDF Gold Medalist Samantha Billings and her trusted team, our training emphasizes trust, clarity, and consistency—whether your goal is confidence in the saddle or performance in the show ring.

• Customized Training Programs – Structured plans designed for your horse’s stage of development and your personal goals, including haul-in scheduling
• Show Coaching – Ringside support and strategy to help you ride at your best when it matters most
• Goal-Focused Development – From mastering foundational milestones to achieving national recognition, we help map the path that’s right for you

What We Offer

Sam Billings is not only a seasoned trainer but also a lifelong competitor who understands every facet of the show experience. From earning a team Bronze as a Young Rider to competing today at the Grand Prix level, she brings decades of firsthand knowledge to her coaching. What makes her unique is the breadth of her involvement on any given show day—riding her own Grand Prix test, walking a pony into a lead line class for a three-year-old student, guiding an Adult Amateur through their first move up a level, helping a teen polish a Freestyle set to music or a Rodeo rider gear up for speed. Sam’s ability to prepare riders at every level ensures not only results in the ring—winning classes and earning qualifying scores—but also a relaxed, supportive experience where camaraderie with show mates is valued as much as scores.
