Founder Samantha Billings-Coatney began riding at the age of five and quickly developed into a highly skilled and dedicated equestrian. Her early success as a Young Rider competing at the national level laid the foundation for a lifelong career in training and instruction.
With over 15 years of experience as a trainer and educator, Sam is driven by a singular goal: to make the transformative experience of working with horses available to a broader community.

Billings Equestrian is proudly family-owned and operated. Sam’s husband, Cyle Coatney, entered the equestrian world through Sam’s guidance and soon developed his own passion for team roping, competing across California and Arizona. Their two sons are also active members of the barn community, often seen riding with fellow young students and building lifelong friendships at the ranch.
Today, Billings Equestrian is home to a vibrant training program and a robust riding school offering lessons in Dressage, Beginner Jumping, and Western. Our professional team tailors instruction to meet the needs of every student, whether
